Big Brother Surveillance Coming to a City Near You

Three news articles broke today that should strike fear in the heart of every freedom loving U.S. resident. Surveillance technologies are being employed to monitor your movements in the name of crime prevention and fighting terrorism. The government is preying on your fears. We are being incrementally ushered into a police state under the guise of providing protection and security. When you wake up to the loss of privacy, liberty, and individual rights, it may be too late to beat back the oppressive overlords known as your government.

This article details the use of flying pilotless spy-drones capable of “hovering” and “staring” at the citizens. Big Brother’s drones will be using electro-optic or infrared sensors that will be soon be employed in Miami to “fight against crime.”

“Our intentions are to use it only in tactical situations as an extra set of eyes,” said police department spokesman Juan Villalba.

“The FBI is experimenting with a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles”, said Marcus Thomas, an assistant director of the bureau’s Operational Technology Division.

Sweet. I cannot wait to have my high-resolution image scanned and placed in the Department of Homeland Security’s politically-subversive database.

Here you can learn about the increased use of fingerprint technology to track air-travelers in the U.S. The changes require the imprinting of all 10 fingertips, instead of the 2 that were previously captured. The announced intent of the $280 million security upgrade is to “give officers a more accurate idea of who is in front of them.” The real purpose is to coordinate biometric databases with international agencies in the European Union and Canada.

Our third installment of government privacy intrusion comes from Orlando, Florida.

Orlando police used high-tech surveillance cameras with the ability to zoom in on individual faces from great distances. Orlando police said they recorded every image captured by the cameras. They said the footage will be held for a week in case they must investigate crimes that have not been reported yet.

Your rights and liberties are being destroyed in the name of protection from the manufactured looming menace that the government desperately needs you to fear. Random street violence and the nefarious “terrorist” threat are the means employed to assault your rights. Many are more than willing to submit to state-directed privacy invasion, but they have no idea what these measures will entail.

Will you feel safe when only the government commits crime? Will you be able to sleep at night knowing your life is not your own? Will you whisper in the corner to avoid telescreen prejudgment? In case you are interested, Comcast is working on your living room surveillance device right now.

It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself—anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face … was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime ~ George Orwell (1984)

I really wish people would quit trying to compare us to Rome. Rome was tough: it took them 50 years of civil warring to devolve into a military dictatorship. It only took us 9/11 to give up all of our civil rights.

Most of us are not interesting enough to worry about it.

Soon they will demand DNA. They can have mine, but they’ll have to suck it out of me.

    Johnnypeeper’s response:

I will only provide toxic diarrheal splatter samples that will have to be scraped off the walls and the man in grey sent to collect it. It will be a product of 3 Taco Bell bean burritos that have stewed overnight in a rancid gut full of Colt .45 malt liquor juice.

bespeakme: don’t be a fucking idiot. The government is interested in all of us. If not now, then later.
The point is this kind of technology can be misused, and will be misused. Right now it’s being used for crime surveillance, but the definition of a crime can be misconstrued. Undercover police have already been caught infiltrating anti-war organizations and the like. You don’t think this could be used to spy on groups of people who are considered “subversive”? I don’t like the fact that personal privacy is being attacked. Interestng, uninteresting; it’s nobody’s business.

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power. ~Abraham Lincoln

This type of power , if put into the wrong hands, will certainly be abused. But, we as a people have so many times entrusted too much power into the hands of men. Too much power, in and of itself, can make an otherwise sane man become insane. Read some material on the mindset and agony of Harry S. Truman, the night before he made the final decision to drop the bombs. Such decision making power should never be placed in the hands of men; to give a man with a conscious this power falls in the realms of cruel and unusual; to give a man with no conscious this power is disasterous; and could very well cause the extentsion of earth.

But, the power to see all what anyone is doing at any given moment will be used by many individuals from people with good intensions, but are weak, to the strong with evil intentions.

Such a Pandora’s Box will be opened, but by then it will be too late–if not already so.

Sometimes we make so many wrong turns that our only solution is to just start all over in order to get to the right destination. But until that happens, I intend to enjoy the ride with each wrong turn or missed road. Of course I’ll at times give the driver advice, to turn left or right, and sometimes we might have to get out, take a break and try to regroup.
Peace, Light and Love to you and yours . . . ~CordieB

    Johnnypeeper’s response:

Well said Cordie. The fallacy is that the person that “you” cast your vote for will clean up the system. All politicians are power-hungry egotists who will trade power and privilege for their duty of serving the people.

Sometimes i feel living in the west is getting very difficult. One has to stand face to face of many issues or just close his eyes and live his life carefree.
Everything is getting confused with politics there, same like Iran. I love Arab Gulf countries. Life there is very much more peaceful and if you decide to be away of political debates for sometime, you just need to switch your channel or just turn off the TV.

P.S: Thank you for your comment on my “Me” page. Good one 🙂

It’s not like every stoplight we’ve driven under for the last 8-10 years havn’t recorded our peregrinations. I’ve had 10-finger fingerprintings taken six times in the last year. The words you type on this comment board run through government filtration message switches which have been active since the mid-90s. They are nestled comfortably in your trusted ISP data centers. You pay them $30-60/month to do it!

Nothing changes, we are all easily traceable through IP addresses, highly accurate cell phone tower triangulation, and the aging camera systems. Personally, I welcome our new cute and friendly drone overlords!

Manco- relax. Coat hangers are dangerous in the wrong hands. As stated above- its power that is dangerous. For gawd’s sake man. Privacy means taking a crap with the door shut for most people. People who hate America openly and rant and rage on blogs and letters to the editor are not considered subversive threats to our national security. Just angry leftists or acid droppers. People hiding out with anthrax and sub-machine guns- a little different. Try anti-depressants- it makes life easier. Oh wait- another plot to make you docile…

This constant surveillance that you point out doesn’t worry you? The fact that everything you do and say is cataloged doesn’t bother you? I thought you conservatives were for less government intrusion into people’s lives?

bespeakme: don’t pull that “hate America” shit with me, man. The greatest patriots in the history of this country were those that took a defiant stance against the policies of government. Who are these people hanging out with anthrax and machine guns? Are they in your closet? Under your bed? And you’re calling me paranoid? Dude, get a grip.
And stop thinking that anyone who questions the perceived reality needs pills. Yet another ignorant statement on your part.
Don’t dismiss this as conspiracy theory. There are many so called “conspiracy theories” that have been discovered to be true as the the years have gone by: Operation Northwoods, Iran-Contra, Operation Mockingbird, Watergate, MKULTRA, the attempt to overthrow FDR, General Motors street car conspiracy, the Tuskegee experiments, as well as several CIA orchestrated coup’s and government destabilization efforts.

  14. March 27, 2008 at 3:36 pm

Manco, why so angry? I’m saying that the drone surveillance is nothing new. They used helicopters for the same thing for the last few decades. I thought you’d appreciate that the government is saving gas while doing the same thing it’s been doing all along.

If I were a coward, I’d be afraid of the new technology. As a non-Luddite, I’m unconcerned. Is the digital age’s surveillance news to you?

The “terrists”, our “enemies”, are just a creation used for fear and propaganda? Tell that to the cuddly make-believe fairy tale character Bin Laden and his band of joyful Islamic jihadists.

    Johnnypeeper’s response:

Given your preferred source for “news” and information, it is not surprising that you are so naive about who is behind the 9-11 Shock Doctrine operation. Sean Vanity and Bill O-Bilely cannot betray their corporate masters and objectively report the corrupt 9-11 Commission report findings. The MSM willingly totes the “official” narrative and nobody gets hurt – except for the truth.

And why don’t you do a little reaseach into the ties between the bin Laden family and Bush or how bin Laden was virtually created by the CIA during the Russian/Afghan conflict in the 80’s. Our own government funded the mujahdeen, who eventually morphed into your al qaeda. The problem is, the strength, power and influence of this group has been inflated to scare dipshits like you and allow for unprecedented legislation that serves only to infringe on citizens’ rights.
Just do a modicum of research into the government’s connection to this guy. Please. When you can do something other than parrot, then drop a comment here. Until then, shut the fuck up.

And I’m angry because everything is being sold out from under us. I’m angry that a small percentage of elite cocksuckers in this world think they can play a game with the lives of people. If my anger bothers you, too fucking bad. It’s called an emotion, you anaesthesized son of a bitch.

Well, well! Something I can agree with MANCO about!

Yep, MANCO, you happen to be quite correct in your summation of the little CIA/Zionist charade called al-Qaeda. Did you happen to know that the Paki ISI General Ahmoud (I belive the slime ball’s name was) happened to be in the offices of the Carlyle group, along with HW Bush, on the morning of 9/11? This same guy who wired Mohammed Atta over $100,000?

But don’t get a big head about all this MANCO. You’re still a little homo in my book. But even blind homos find an acorn sometimes!

  20. March 27, 2008 at 8:13 pm

I love how my moniker perpetuates ad hominems from conspiracy theorists. I’ve visited the sites run by 9/11 theorists, I’ve heard their pleas on radio and TV for people to hear their message that the US attacked itself. The only problem is that whenever they open their mouths or write an article, their mental instability becomes instantly apparent.

Manco, I did see Bhutto say that Osama was dead. Nultiple times. On Fox News!I am aware of the enabling of Osama’s rise by the CIA. We also supported Saddam in his rattlings with Iran back in the day. Things change; this isn’t the NWO of the ’80s anymore. There never was an NWO. Blinders off, floks.

Sorry. Forgot to add who actually was meeting at that Carlyle meeting: George H. W. Bush (a senior adviser to Carlyle), Reagan’s former secretary of defense Frank Carlucci (head of Carlyle), James Baker III, secretary of state under Bush Sr. (senior counsel for Carlyle) and Shafiq bin Laden, brother of Osama bin Laden. Shafiq was a longtime friend and benefactor of Bush.

Fox Fan: Since I have your attention: After the attacks, the United States grounded all aircraft with one exception – White House officials authorized planes to pick up 140 Saudis, including two dozen members of the bin Laden family, from ten cities and take them back to Saudi Arabia. Dale Watson, the former head of counterterrorism at the FBI, conceded in Vanity Fair that the departing Saudis “were not subject to serious interviews or interrogations. ”
Tom Kinton, director of aviation at Boston’s Logan Airport, was incredulous, according to Vanity Fair. With the airport still closed and reeling from the 9/11 attacks, Kinton received the order to allow the bin Ladens to fly. “We were in the midst of the worst terrorist act in history and here we were seeing an evacuation of the bin Ladens!” he exclaimed…
A month after the terror attacks, the Carlyle Group took its subsidiary, United Defense, public. Carlyle netted profits of $237 million in that one day.

The Bush family has had a long and mutually profitable connection with the corrupt Saudi oil dictatorship. Prince Bandar, Saudi ambassador to the United States, has been an honored guest both at the Bush I summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, and at Bush II’s getaway in Crawford, Texas. Bandar expressed his gratitude to Bush I by donating $1 million to the Bush Presidential Library in Texas. Saudi King Fahd sent another $1 million to Barbara Bush’s campaign against illiteracy (ironic, given that her son is one of the dumbest bastards on the planet).
Saudi Prince al-Walid contributed half a million petrodollars to help launch the George Herbert Walker Bush Scholarship Fund at Phillips Academy, the alma mater of both Bush presidents. The depth of these connections was highlighted when the former president visited the Saudis to “discuss U.S.-Saudi business relations” with Crown Prince Abdullah during his son’s 2000 presidential campaign.
The bin Laden family, a key Carlyle investor, stood to make millions of dollars from the war on terror-a war that has as its chief villain a member of their own family. The bin Ladens withdrew from the Carlyle Group in late October 2001.
In 2003, the Bush administration withheld 28 pages relating to Saudi Arabia’s role in the attacks from the 800-page final report of the congressional 9/11 Commission.
President Bush justified this action by saying that revealing the contents of the missing pages “would show people how we collect information and on whom we’re collecting information, which would be harmful on the war against terror.”

    “Shit happens.”

And, for someone who breathelessly bespoke of the Rothschilds on my blog today, you might figure it out when Edmund de Rothschild bought acres of land in the Palestine even before Theodor Herzl came out with Zionism as the planned form of Nazism for Jews world-wide, including the good ole US of A.
