The Who – Young Man Blues

The Who in 1970 were a bloody annihilative force to behold. The Isle of Wight show exemplified the sheer brutality of four demonically possessed bastards operating in a blitzkrieg machine precision that was guaranteed to implode the first 20 rows of ear drums with their elevated Hiwatt stacks. Playing for a crowd of 600,000 tweaked limeys, fried fucknuts, and Mandraax-riddled anarchists tends to bring out the best in some folks. The bare-chested microphone slinger, the skeletal ox, the pedo investigating windmill maestro, and the maniacal loon did not disappoint.
